A Wish Rooted in 25 Years of Experience

Giovanni Roncucci

Roncucci&Partners is entering the 25th year of its life.

2001 was the year of the Twin Towers in New York. 2026 will be another year marked by wars in Ukraine and Gaza, but also in many other parts of the world. A world that, even after a quarter ofa century, has yet to find peace, highlighting the crisis of multilateralism.

If we look at what is happening around us, the outlook is certainly not among the most optimistic. And yet the world keeps moving forward: the pandemic caused an acceleration of new digital technologies, pushed younger generations toward new professions, and challenged the future with innovations, tools, and technologies we were not accustomed to.

Over these 25 years, many things have changed and many certainties have shifted, but new ones have also emerged.
The world of internationalization, consulting, and business support has also changed profoundly. What remains is the effort to survive, to grow, to establish oneself in an increasingly global market that is, paradoxically, becoming more and more regionalized.

In this context, company strategies can no longer be one-size-fits-all; they must adapt and be shaped to markets, situations, and consumers. Never more than now has the term “market oriented” been so true, at a time when “servitization” has become more important than the word “product.” Serving markets, serving sophisticated and diverse consumers, serving niches, serving new areas of the world.

We at Roncucci&Partners have also changed – not only because we are 25 years older, but because maturing means understanding the need to change, while remaining coherent in our professional ethics and in our constant effort to do our best for the clients we serve. We hope we always succeed, because what sets us apart is our dedicated human approach, where Heart and Passion combine with our professional experience.

Then there are new technologies and digitalization, which we were among the first to combine with internationalization, in a world that is increasingly connected yet increasingly divided—between East and West, North and South, good and bad, us and them. This, perhaps, is what complicates life the most: a strange and divisive Manichaeism, when instead we would need to come together around new but shared values, looking toward the future.

Over these 25 years we have seen many countries, supported many companies, and worked with many colleagues. A heartfelt thought goes to Ravi Garyali, our Country Manager in India for 15 years, who passed away just a few days ago. We remember his energy, kindness, and empathy. He will be deeply missed.

After 25 years, we are still here, with our desire to build, to engage, and to talk about the future.  We believe that the word “sharing” is the most fitting to envision 2026 together: because sharing knowledge means sharing choices; sharing passion means sharing goals; and sharing means pushing wars further away.

Our wish is to embark on a new path, where the most important innovation is making the right choice at the right time, taking responsibility for difficult, complex, and non-obvious decisions, with the same positive energy that has characterized us during the most challenging moments.

We sincerely wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, a time to recharge and rediscover the energy needed to face 2026, where leading change means sharing the future.
