It was a dedicated men’s fashion week in which our company promoted the fashion brand ALEXRIDOLFI through successful missions in New York and London.
Created in early 2019, the ALEXRIDOLFI brand was born from the experience of the family business, the MacDonald knitwear factory of Lugo, which has been operating for almost forty years in the field of high quality knitwear, mainly as a private label for major fashion brands around the world. By creating the new brand, the homonymous owner decided to put himself on the line to convey to the consumer the style and quality that has always characterized the family business: the use of highly selected raw materials (cashmere, wool, silk, cotton and linen in the first place) and the enhancement of craftsmanship, expertly combined with the use of the latest technologies in the field of knitwear. A brand that represents the quintessence of Made in Italy and that, strong of its characteristics, has immediately expressed the desire to make itself known on international markets.
Discovering international markets with Roncucci & Partners
ALEXRIDOLFI took its first steps abroad during the past year, participating in two institutional projects that brought it its first results: “Export promotion and smart internationalisation 2019” and “Italian Fashion towards Dubai 2020”, both promoted by Unioncamere Emilia-Romagna, with co-financing from the Emilia-Romagna Region and our involvement in the role of technical advisor. Encouraging results pushed the ALEXRIDOLFI brand to continue with Roncucci&Partners its path on foreign markets in 2020, through the planning of a series of activities aimed at promoting and consolidating its position in world-famous Fashion Hubs. In fact, our company has been in charge of carrying out an accurate analysis of potential target markets, looking for possible international partners and supporting the brand in the definition of an effective and coherent corporate image, and then starting to plan well-structured missions.
The current mission, organized and coordinated by our Project Manager Giacinta Acerbi, foresees the participation of ALEXRIDOLFI in two important international events dedicated to men’s fashion: Project, in New York, and Jacket Required, in London. Two important opportunities to get known and get in touch with influencers, retailers, buyers, media and industry experts from all over the world.
Project New York, the showcase of men’s fashion overseas
The event, organized at the Jacob Javits Center in New York, is one of the most important international events dedicated to men’s fashion and showcases the most innovative brands in the industry, in three days (January 19 to 21) full of events and fashion shows. The ALEXRIDOLFI Brand attended the New York fair as one of the 52 brands of the Italian pavilion which was created by the Ita-Italian Trade Agency.
With this initiative, the ITA agency aims to support Italian fashion exports on a strategic market, not only from an economic point of view, but above all for its role as an international trend setter. Within the event, was particularly important ALEXRIDOLFI’s participation at the VIP Retailers Showroom, reserved for brands exhibiting at the Project for the first time: it is an area dedicated to emerging brands, with an event organized VIP Retailer Program’s members. An event that has allowed the ALEXRIDOLFI brand to be noticed by New York fashion buyers and influencers including Oneil Gardner (@thecreativegentleman) and Steve Djla (@stevedjla).
Jacket Required: the place where international trends meet English fashion buyers
Jacket Required, which takes place twice a year in the East London’s Old Truman Brewery, presents a carefully selected international line of menswear, accessories and lifestyle products.
Jacket Required is a unique event in the UK, mainly showing streetwear and contemporary trends,
with a strong participation of retailers, buyers, influencers and fashion buyers “hunting” for new suppliers. It represents an essential entry point for international brands aiming to increase their visibility in the UK, also thanks to networking events, including the prestigious After Show Party organized at Beach Blanket Babylon Shoreditch, one of the trendiest locations in the city.
The Jacket Required fair in London represents an important meeting point between British fashion buyers and trendy designers from all over the world.
